Now that we have had a couple of weeks of the business pages for Google+ it’s probably time to evaluate what freelance writers are doing with the
new social media platform. From the chatter I’m picking up around the net, it seems that while some freelancers have set up their Google+ page many are still not sure what to do about it.

There’s a new big kid on the social media block. Google is having yet another attempt at knocking Facebook off its perch. And unlike its previous efforts with Buzz and Wave, Google+ seems to have the full backing of the megacorp. (more…)

In the first part of this series I looked at Facebook and Twitter. Those two are the biggest of the social media platforms but they are far from the only ones.
You could spend months checking out all the different sites and their promises of instant targeted traffic and unlimited connections. Some of those promises might even be true. But to be on the safe side you should probably stick with the more well known platforms, particularly at the beginning of your social media strategy. (more…)
